Phonebooks and Address Fields

Using the Address Field

Enter the first name, last name, nickname, or company name, or enter phone numbers directly. In address fields that support multiple entries, you can enter the name of a phonebook group and it will be replaced by the phonebook entries in that group.

BluePhoneElite 2 will auto-complete the entry as you type if it finds a matching entry in the phonebook. If multiple entries are found, use the mouse or arrow keys to select the appropriate contact.

BluePhoneElite 2 will display phonebook a entry as a blue token (a rounded rectangle in the address field). Click the triangle in the token to display the phonebook menu. From this menu you can select a different phone number or edit, remove or copy the selected phone number.

Use the comma key ( , ) to separate multiple entries in the address field.

Phonebook Sources

BluePhoneElite 2 can access names and phone numbers from multiple sources such as the Apple Address Book plug-in or the Bluetooth Phone Phonebook service.

This merged phonebook is used to display names associated with specific phone numbers and to look up entries for auto-completion in address fields.
